A post-graduate nurse by profession, Joanita worked as an ICU nurse at Jaslok Hospital and later abroad. She has also studied yoga, Reiki, Pranic Healing and Hypnotherapy. She later worked under the guidance of Dr. Vijaya Venkat at their Health Awareness Centre, specialising with cancer patients. Currently, she runs a Reflexology Centre and has been working with visually impaired therapists for the past 12 years. She's also a part-time nutritional consultant at the 'Shenman Healing Centre.'
