Wellbeing and Distress Among Adolescents and Young Adults with Cancer: Preliminary Findings from an Ongoing Study

Cancer during adolescence and young adulthood presents unique challenges that can affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, education, career aspirations, and overall quality of life. This study explores the psychosocial experiences of adolescents and young adults (AYA) living with cancer, examining factors that influence wellbeing, distress, and coping throughout their cancer journey. By identifying areas of unmet need and sources of support, the research seeks to contribute to the development of more effective, age-appropriate psychosocial care for young people affected by cancer.
